James Drew is an Australian journalist based in Washington, D.C., reporting on the military aerospace industry for Aviation Week & Space Technology. Since graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Sippy Downs, Queensland, in 2011, James has worked for APN News & Media, Quest Community Newspapers (News Limited), Inside Defense (Inside the Air Force), Flightglobal (Flight International magazine) and now Informa’s Aviation Week Network. James served in the Australian Army Reserve as an infantry soldier and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. He moved to the Washington area in January 2014 to take up military aerospace reporting after several years working as a community news journalist in Brisbane, Queensland.
